Dan Harrington was elevated to being one of the legends of poker. Born in Massachusetts in 1945, Harrington has been successful at most things he has tried; he was a champion backgammon player and a US chess master before he took up the game of poker. He also has his own business that takes up a massive amount of his time – focusing on Real Estate and the Stock Market.

His businesses now take up so much of his time that he actually only considers himself a part-time poker player but don’t let that detract from his legend status; his years playing since the early 80’s have seen him turn a massive amount of earnings and not to mention the numerous tournament wins.

He currently has over $6.5 million in live poker earnings; an amount likely to have been much more had the bulk of his career been over the last 10 years, considering the way in which poker earnings have risen during that time.
